I have had the pleasure of working with Kirsti Wolfe and her team since 2009. In that time, she has guided me on the interior design of two homes, one in the Highlands at Broken Top, the other on the coast of San Clemente, CA. She was also my designer for the the Worthy Brewing restaurants in Bend. Thanks to Kirsti’s focus, vision, skillset, and can-do approach to challenging projects, I consider all three of these creations to be enduring works of art.I love her work, and I love working with her. Why? She’s creative without being frou-frou, collaborative wihtout being obsequious, firm wihtout being impatient. You give her an idea of a “sink” and she’ll give you three to four great examples, along with eveything attached. Not only is Kirsti resourceful, she’s also a good teacher. Most of the time I would come to her with a faint notion of a foggy idea with precious few roots in reality. I’d throw out a few words and boom! Kirsti’s showing me several images on her mobiile phone that help fill in the blanks and bring my formless idea to life. After that, she’s very good at making all the parts fit together coherently and elegantly. She’s not simply ordering stuff–she’s an interior architectural designer. She has the tools and experience to design anything, from your kitchen and baths to your steam shower and bedrooms. Frankly, when it comes to integrating numbers, angles, demensions and so on, she’s a wiz. And she has excellent rapport with the vendors who she sources to supply the materials, the contractors who will build it, and the owner is is minding the budget. She has many strengths artistically, but she’s also cognizant of the costs, as well as the deadlines. That’s why I like working with Kirsti: she’ll usually present you with 3 or 4 options, each with different price points, draw out your first impressions,and then help you decide what’s best. She’s not about taking credit. She’s more intested in creating something beautiful under budget that will meet the test of time. I’ve noted that she works well with her contractors and builders, which to me, shows how easy, fair, and fun she is to work with. Yes, there will be artistic disagreements. But this is where she shines. She can disagree without being one bit disagreeable. not one bit. In the end, after she patiently and expertly makes her case, in my experience, often I’ve deferred to her opionions without regrets. In summary, if you’re building a custom home or business in Bend, Oregon, there’s no better designer than Kirsti Wolfe. She has the respect of the best creaftsmen in the county. She’s a natural leader, a gifted designer, a loyal team member,  a trustr=worthy budget manager, and one “heckuva” lot of fun to work with. Cheers!
